What To Do When Your iPad Screen Gets Scratched

It could be a source of great distress to iPad owners when the screen of their treasured gadget gets damaged or scratched by accident. A scratched screen totally spoils the look and glamour of your iPad and makes it look old and worn out. There is unfortunately not much you can do in order to get rid of a permanent scratch on the screen. However, there are a few things that you can do before you lament, and a few precautions you can take so you can handle it when it happens.

Making sure it is indeed a scratch

There are several streaks of sticky material such as food or dirt which can present itself like a scratch on the screen of your iPad. On a first glance, this makes several iPad owners wince and panic about their screen having been scratched. Hence, before you are sure you have damaged it, do the following.

Take a piece of soft and clean cloth and dampen it only so slightly with clean water. It is important to make sure that the cloth is not soggy and that applying it on the screen would not put it in direct contact with water. Those done, rub on the screen of your iPad in the area of the scratch in circular motion and check to see if the scratch disappears. If it doesn’t, then it is probably permanent.

Getting Apple-care

It is always suggested that you get Apple-care at the time of your purchase so that you can get your screen replaced by citing it as one of your incidents. If that is not a possibility, you may want to take it to any iPad repair store to get your screen replaced by an expert repairperson.
